A Man’s Viewpoint – Photography Exhibit Opening Reception
Cultural Arts Council Douglasville / Douglas County’s annual October photography show continues with “A Man’s Viewpoint”, a study of work by seven (7) male photographers and looking through their “view point”.
The reception will be held on Thursday, November 7 from 6-8 pm and hosted by the Sweetwater Camera Club.The exhibit will remain on view through November 21st.
John Mariana, Mike Ramy, Mike Nalley, Bob Kelley, Randy Johnson, Jim Johns, and Jerry Frost are seven (7) Metro Atlanta area photographers being featured.

A Tiny Fundraiser returns to the Cultural Arts Council in July and August. In partnership with the CAC Satellite organization, The Douglas County Art Guild, each Thursday night the CAC will remain open till 7 pm with great refreshments, drinks, demos, and activities. Come enjoy the fun, relax, and get in touch with your creative side! Free admission & parking.
The Douglas County Art Guild meets the first Tuesday of each month, at St. Julian’s Episcopal Church, 5400 Stewart Mill Rd., Douglasville, GA . The meetings begin at 6:30 pm with show and tell and refreshments, followed at 7 pm with a program and business meeting. Visitors are always welcome!
BTFP US Space & Rocket Center Field Trip
Join Beyond the Front Porch as we embark on a daylong adventure designed to introduce visitors to the dramatic history of space exploration, from early spaceflight to the shuttle program and beyond! We will visit the Museum, Shuttle Park, and Rocket Park, have access to Public Simulators. This activity, transportation and lunch is FREE for students on free/reduced lunch and $25 for all others.

The annual National Open Visual Arts Show (NOVAS) is an exhibit showcasing a wide variety of high-quality art from around the country – bringing national perspectives to our community located on the edge of Atlanta.
Join us for the opening reception and awards on Thursday, Sept. 5 from 6 – 8 pm. The exhibit will remain on display through September 26th.
